After having become pregnant when she was a teenager herself, Lorelai rebelled against her wealthy parents' wishes, choosing single motherhood and working at a local inn over the more prestigious life they imagined for her. Gilmore Girls follows Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and her teenage daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel), who live in the fictional town of Stars Hollow.
